How a one-woman Fairmount route became a five-person crew, and why Rita still does every first visit.
Rita Salinas cleaned her first house on Fairmount Avenue in March 2015, between shifts at a Medical District clinic. Word moved down the street faster than she could keep up with, and by 2018 she had quit the clinic and hired her sister-in-law. Today the crew is Rita and four cleaners, each with her at least two years, based out of the small office on East Baltimore Avenue.
She still does every first visit herself: she wants to see the house, meet the dog, and write the checklist the next cleaner will follow. It is slower. It is also why clients get the same result on visit twelve as on visit one.
